I'm a believer

Let me start by saying that I have thought before that I was so sick that I must have had the flu. I know now that I have never had the flu before. But oh do I have it now. It hit me very suddenly and knocked me down, literally. The worst part was the body aches. I hurt in every joint from my toes to my elbows to my back to my fingers to my hair. Everywhere. For two days I was in bed and could only muster enough energy to barely get out of bed so that I didn't pee on myself. No amount of medicine touched it. Then there was the coughing, headaches, high fever, chills, etc.

I'm doing better now. Still have the cough but I have good medicine from the doc for that. He said that I probably won't have energy back for up to two weeks, but at least I don't have to deal with the body aches anymore. It literally took every ounce of strength that I had. I have never gotten a flu shot before, but I will get one from now on. I would encourage you all to do the same. Like the title of this post says, I'm a believer in the flu shot.
